Kamden Hilliard is a poet/essayist running through Hawaii, New York, and Hong Kong with his woes.

Shannon Sommers is a high school sophomore and young writer in New York City.



Joy Donnell is a producer and content strategist based in Los Angeles, California, where she currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Editorial Director for Parajin Media Corp, overseeing fashion lifestyle publication Vanichi Magazine and the luxury interior design-focused Vanichi Style magazine as Editor-in-Chief.

Jeremy Jusek will be graduating with his MFA in Poetry from the University of Arcadia.

Katherine Liu is a student at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Illinois and a national reader for Polyphony HS.

Molly Schulman graduated from The New School in 2009 with a degree in creative writing, and since then, has published several poems and become a professional fiction editor.

Yovani Flores is a queer Afro-Borikua writer, poet and performer from Chicago. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona where she re-imagines storytelling as performance with a community of fiercely talented women.

Heather Freudenthal  is a filmmaker and film programmer from Brooklyn.

Jess Schmonsky is a graduate student in cultural/medical anthropology in San Francisco.



Jacob Brower is an MFA candidate at New York University, where he teaches undergraduate creative writing and serves as fiction editor for Washington Square Review.

Rebecca Jones is a native Southern Californian and is back in her hometown as a partner and divisional sales associate for a global asset management firm.

Kameelah Janan Rasheed is currently the Creative Director of Mambu Badu, the Arts Editor for Spook Magazine, a volunteer docent at the Morbid Anatomy Museum, an educator at the Brooklyn Museum and a full-time instructional coach in NYC public schools.

Matt Nelson and Jacob Perkins run, operate, over-cooperate on Mellow Pages Library and have published fiction most recently in Hobart Pulp and the Brooklyn Rail, respectively.

Brook Stephenson is an educator and cultural critic practicing creative writing, photography, videography, and journalism, is putting the finishing touches on his debut novel and is founding a writer’s colony.

Billy Wirasnik is an award-winning sound designer based out of Boston. His work has been heard in film festivals in Pakistan, Brazil and throughout the United States. He is the sound designer of the Emmy-nominated and Peabody award-winning interactive documentary Hollow.

Leslie Yoon is a native Southern Californian living and working in Brooklyn, NY. She is a former journalist, currently working in Post Production.



Kima Jones lives in Los Angeles and is writing her first poetry collection, The Anatomy of Forgiveness.

Melanie Kostrzewa is a former public school teacher turned stay-at-home mom of three, Etsy shop owner and blogger, living in New Orleans.

Lara Taubman Wisniewski is an arts editor and curator, currently living in Belgrade, Montana.

Eric Vasquez works as an Art Director at World Wrestling Entertainment and is a regular contributor of professional design tutorials for

David Whelan holds an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and lives and writes in London.


FALL 2013

Kevin Burdette received a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Julliard School and is a bass who will be returning to the Metropolitan Opera this fall in The Nose.

Shannon Caley is a community college student, focusing on bringing eco-friendly innovations into everyday living.

Natalia Cortez Burdette received a law degree from the University of Michigan and is the associate general counsel at Teach for America in New York.

Patty Dann is the author of three novels, STARFISH (forthcoming), SWEET & CRAZY, and MERMAIDS, which was made into a movie, starring Cher, Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci. She currently teaches at the West Side YMCA in NYC.

Cate Norian holds a BA in photography from Brooks Institute of Photography, a BA in political science from Kenyon College, and is a photo editor and photographer currently working in Los Angeles.



Harry Cheadle is an associate editor at VICE Magazine and a graduate of the creative writing program at Pratt Institute.

Paige Hart works in investment management and holds an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business.

Amelia Jane Nierenberg is a high school junior at the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, a fiction reader for The Adroit Journal, and the fiction editor and co-founder of the Fieldston literary magazine, The Icebox.

Gina Park is currently creating innovative sweaters for the Heritage department at Forever21.

Rider Strong is an actor and filmmaker, best known for his roles on Boy Meets World and in Cabin Fever, and is co-host and founder of the books podcast Literary Disco.

Cheryl Wilson works in fashion as a freelance consultant for Limited Brands.

Tiphanie Yanique is a fiction writer, poet and essayist. She is a professor in the MFA School of Writing at the New School.



Judith Baumel is a poet, critic and translator. She is the director of the MFA Program at Adelphi University.

Mark DeGasperi is Executive Director of Media Development International and teaches screenwriting at New York City universities.
